“Prof. N. Vinod Chandra Menon is a well-known and respected
disaster management and climate resilience expert with over 38
years of experience in policy, training, and institutional
leadership. An alumnus of Kerala University and Jawaharlal Nehru
University, New Delhi, Prof. Menon was one of the Prime
Minister-nominated Founder Members of the National Disaster
Management Authority (NDMA). Trained at the Institute of
Development Studies, Sussex, UK, and the Royal Military College
of Sciences, Cranfield University, UK, Prof. Menon is currently
advisor to many national and international organisations,
including the Africa International Policy Research Centre
(AIPRC), Terrablu Climate Technologies Pvt. Ltd, and Amrita
Vishwa Vidyapeetham. He has worked as Professor (Disaster
Management) at YASHADA, Pune, in charge of emergency
preparedness and response in the UNICEF India Country Office in
New Delhi, and co-edited eight books, published scores of
articles, including chapters in books and articles in reputed
journals. ”
