Internship Programme: Community Engagement, Climate Action and Policy Research

Are you passionate about tackling climate change and shaping a sustainable future? Our Internship Programme offers undergraduate students and above the chance to gain hands-on experience across research, policy, and field coordination. This unique opportunity is designed for individuals who want to understand the full spectrum of climate action—from scientific study to policy advocacy and grassroots implementation.

What You’ll Do

As an intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work across all the core areas of our organisation:

Assist in ongoing projects such as mangrove plantation, coastal resilience, and soil erosion reduction. Gain exposure to data collection, analysis, and the application of research to real-world environmental challenges. Support our think tank team by contributing to policy briefs, background research, and advocacy initiatives aimed at state and central governments. Learn how evidence is translated into reforms that impact millions. Engage with our field stations and community partners to understand how projects are implemented on the ground. Take part in outreach activities, project monitoring, and community engagement efforts that drive tangible change.

Why Join This Internship?

Experience a holistic learning environment that combines science, governance, and community action. Work alongside experts and mentors committed to tackling climate change. Build professional skills in research, communication, and project management. Receive the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to projects with real-world impact.

Pathway to a Career:

This programme is not just an internship—it’s a potential gateway to a career in climate action. Outstanding interns may be offered the chance to join our organisation as full-time team members, continuing their journey with us as researchers, policy advocates, or field coordinators.

Our Commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion

We welcome applications from students of all backgrounds. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone’s ideas and perspectives are valued, and we actively encourage individuals from underrepresented groups to apply.
